As a Systems Engineering Intern, at our Peterborough, Ontario facility, you will providr engineering design and/or analysis for nuclear products/projects including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring. Starting May 2026 for a duration of 12 to 16 months.

About The Role

Support the delivery of all technical elements of a project
Drive innovation and new methods in the development of new technologies and nuclear systems
Provide input and to the development of conceptual/detailed equipment designs as they progress through a structured design process
Prepare clear and concise technical specifications, design requirements, requirements verification, design and test plans, reports
Support or perform Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
Support the manufacture, assembly and testing of systems, the resolution of manufacturing queries and assessment of non-conformances
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
Interface with customers and outside vendors on issues and decisions surrounding the project execution.
Support and development of system level interface drawings and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

Enrolled in 2nd year or recent graduate of a Nuclear engineering program at a university with a minimum GPA of 75%
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving and time management skills
Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge
Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
Self-motivated and highly organized
Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software
A background with practical skills developed through jobs, school teams or personal interest are highly valued.
