Role Description
This is a contract role for a UX Designer – Advanced (AI & Service Design) located in Wilmington, DE, with a hybrid work arrangement permitting some remote work. The UX Designer will be responsible for leveraging design thinking methodologies to address user and business challenges, conducting comprehensive user research, and creating user-centered designs. Additional duties include developing prototypes to visualize and iterate on functionality, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate feedback, and contributing to innovative service design solutions with a specific focus on AI applications.
Qualifications
Lead end-to-end UX & Service Design initiatives to reimagine enterprise workflows using AI-enabled solutions.
Translate complex business processes and workflows into intuitive, scalable user experiences.
Design AI-driven workflows, agent-based systems, and low-code solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.
Create journey maps, service blueprints, storyboards, and experience artifacts to visualize current and future states.
Apply human-centered design principles to deliver meaningful direct and indirect user experiences.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (business, product, engineering, AI teams) to align on outcomes.
Facilitate design workshops, co-creation sessions, and stakeholder discussions to uncover user needs.
Operate in fast-paced, iterative environments, rapidly prototyping, testing, and refining solutions.
Ensure security, compliance, auditability, and governance across all AI-enabled experiences.
Leverage data, insights, and user feedback to continuously optimize workflows and services.
Demonstrate strong expertise in service design, workflow orchestration, and enterprise UX strategy.
Stay current with UX, AI, and service design trends, bringing innovative thinking to the team.
Act as a design bridge between business workflows and future-state AI-powered systems.
Required Experience & Skills:
5+ years of experience in UX Design / Service Design / Experience Design
2+ years of hands-on experience designing AI-enabled workflows and experiences
Strong expertise in Journey Mapping, Service Blueprinting, Storyboarding
Experience working with AI-focused engineers and low-code platforms
Excellent stakeholder collaboration & facilitation skills
Proven ability to work in agile, iterative, enterprise environments
