Position Summary

The integration developer role requires solid experience collaborating within a team to deliver production-grade enterprise integrations. This position is centered around connecting systems, automating workflows, and solving moderate to complex integration challenges. A strong focus is placed on understanding the business needs behind assigned work and taking ownership of deliverables. In partnership with business systems analysts, senior technical leads, and other developers, the integration developer is actively involved in all phases of the integration lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing solutions and integrations with internal and external systems, as well as contributing to the establishment of standards, best practices, and methodologies.

Position Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with peers and more senior team members to formulate effective designs, development, and delivery of integration components, including APIs, connectors, data mappings, and workflow automations.
Ensure adherence to architecture and design principles and best practices during the design and development of integrations.
Develop, test, and implement integrations that meet functional and technical specifications.
Use integration programming concepts to resolve business issues.
Regularly work on moderately complex integration issues requiring evaluation of variable factors.
Develop and implement scalable integration APIs and workflows.
Meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities.
Support initiatives to implement process efficiencies and introduce automated tools.
Provide production support to assigned integrations (not overnight or 24/7).
Communicate effectively while working in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically relevant field.
Minimum 4 years of engineering experience, including integration development and production support.
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing integrations, including process design, connector configuration, and deployment.
Experience with adaptive/responsive design for integration interfaces.
Good understanding of integration architectures, integration patterns, and relational databases.
Good experience with formal IT project methodologies, processes, and practices.
Ability to create clear and concise integration design documentation.
Good programming skills in C#, .Net, MS SQL, and integration tools (Boomi, Mule, etc.)
Low-code workflow development experience.
Working knowledge of web technologies (ASP.Net, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, AJAX, CSS, Bootstrap).
Strong SQL/query knowledge.
Proficiency in API management (REST, SOAP), web service, and data transformation (XML, JSON, EDI, Flat File)
EHR and Healthcare domain experience is an asset.
Familiarity with Boomi deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools is an asset.
Experience integrating with cloud and on-premises applications is an asset.
Salesforce and Workday knowledge are an asset.
