Senior Java Microservices AWS Developer

London (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

Contract – 6 months | Inside IR35

£550 per day

About the Role

We are hiring multiple Senior Java Microservices AWS Developers for a global financial services programme. You will be responsible for building and delivering scalable, cloud-native applications using modern Java and AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
Build and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise systems
Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS
Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerised deployments
Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production-ready solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams

Essential Skills

10+ years of Java development experience
Strong expertise in Java 11+ / Java 17
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot & Microservices
Strong AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, etc.)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
Kafka or messaging systems experience
Agile/Scrum delivery experience

Desirable

AWS Certifications
Front-end exposure
Familiarity with ServiceNow
