Day rate GBP 550 /day (Inside IR35)
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Workday Time Tracking Consultant to support the end-to-end implementation of Workday Time Tracking within our organization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on Workday configuration expertise, strong functional knowledge of time & attendance processes, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams during enterprise HCM deployments.
Your responsibilities:
Implementation & Configuration
• Lead the functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Time Tracking.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into Workday configuration solutions.
• Configure Time Entry Codes, Time Calculations, Time Entry Templates, Time Entry Validation Rules, and Time Entry Calendar Periods.
• Work closely with Workday Absence, Payroll, and HCM teams to ensure downstream integration alignment.
• Support configuration of Workday work schedules, time zones, rule-based calculations, and time approvals.
Project Delivery
• Conduct discovery workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution review meetings with business stakeholders.
• Create functional design documents, configuration workbooks, test cases, and user documentation.
• Lead and support Testing phases (Unit, E2E, UAT) including defect resolution.
• Partner with technical teams on integration mapping for payroll/time clocks (Kronos/UKG, ADP, etc. if applicable).
• Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-production hypercare.
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Advise business partners on Workday Time Tracking best practices and configuration decisions.
• Provide expertise on compliance rules related to time tracking, overtime, shift differentials, and labor standards.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to HR operations, managers, and end-users.
Documentation & Compliance
• Ensure accurate documentation of configuration, security roles, and testing artifacts.
Support audit and control requirements related to timekeeping processes.
Your Profile.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
• 3+ years of Workday functional experience with a focus on Time Tracking.
• Hands-on participation in at least one end-to-end Workday Time Tracking implementation (preferred: multiple cycles).
• Solid understanding of related modules: Workday Absence, Payroll, HCM Core.
• Strong functional expertise in:
Time entry & approval workflows
Time calculations & rules
Time tracking compliance
Work schedules & assignments
• Ability to write functional specifications and collaborate with integration developers.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience
• Workday Time Tracking Certification (highly preferred).
• Experience integrating Workday with external time clocks or payroll platforms.
• Knowledge of labor laws (FLSA, global labor standards depending on region).
• Strong communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile/Hybrid implementation methodologies.
