My client is a fast-paced leading media business seeking an Interim Financial Controller to own the day-to-day finance function. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will help manage the team and help with business growth during a busy time for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Own the day-to-day finance function, including month-end close, management accounts, and balance sheet integrity
Prepare monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and commentary for senior leadership
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Oversee statutory accounts, audit processes, and external advisors
Ensure strong financial controls, policies, and compliance across the business
Partner with commercial, production, and operational teams to support decision-making
Review and improve finance systems, processes, and reporting as the business grows
Manage and develop junior finance team members (where applicable)
Support ad-hoc projects including growth initiatives, new revenue streams, and business planning

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CAANZ or equivalent)
Experience in a media, creative, content, or fast-paced commercial environment
Strong technical accounting and financial control background
Commercially minded with the ability to communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders
Comfortable in a hands-on role within a scaling business
Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working autonomously
