Juniper Network Engineer - 12 Month Contract (Outside IR35) - Fully Remote
We are seeking an experienced Juniper Network Engineer to join our network engineering team on a 12-month contract. The role is fully remote and will focus on the design, implementation, support, and optimisation of Juniper-based network infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise or service provider environment.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Juniper routing and switching technologies and will be comfortable working in a contract, delivery-focused role.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and support Juniper network infrastructure (routing and switching)
Deploy and maintain Juniper platforms such as MX, EX, SRX, QFX
Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VRFs, VLANs
Perform network upgrades, migrations, and changes in line with change management processes
Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents and performance issues
Work closely with internal teams (security, cloud, operations) to support business requirements
Produce and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams
What You Will Ideally Bring:
Strong hands-on experience with Juniper Networks technologies
In-depth knowledge of JunOS
Solid understanding of Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking
Proven experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)
Experience in enterprise or service provider network environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience working in contract or project-based roles
Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely
Contract Details
Duration: Initial 12 months with strong extension potential
Day Rate: £300 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Fully Remote
Start Date: ASAP
