Job Specifications

Role: Infrastructure Engineer - 12 month fixed term contract

Location: Bristol (hybrid)

Salary: up to £45,000

The Role:

Resolve escalated technical issues and proactively monitor/maintain core IT infrastructure and systems.
Manage and administer Windows Servers, VMware environments, SQL databases, and Exchange/Microsoft 365 services.
Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and security patching to minimise risk and ensure continuity.
Collaborate with suppliers, colleagues, and wider IT teams, taking ownership of delegated tasks and projects.
Create, update, and maintain clear documentation, policies, and procedures (including ISO 27001 requirements).

The Candidate:

Strong background as an IT Infrastructure Engineer with solid customer service and communication skills.
Expertise in Windows Server/Windows OS, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
Skilled in network configuration and troubleshooting, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
Experienced with Azure administration, Endpoint Manager, and Backup/Disaster Recovery tools such as Veeam and Zerto.

Base salary: up to £45,000
