Job Title :- Business Analyst-Payments
Location :- Missisauaga,ON(Onsite)
JD:
Strong knowledge of payment systems: UPI, IMPS, NEFT/RTGS, card rails, ISO 8583/20022.
Familiarity with risk and fraud controls, tokenization, and data security.
Expertise in requirements elicitation, BRD/FSD creation, and Agile methodologies.
Hands-on with tools: JIRA, Confluence, Visio/BPMN modelling.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Role Summary
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will drive end-to-end business analysis for payment products and modernization initiatives. You will lead requirement gathering, solution design, and process optimization across multiple payment rails (Cards, UPI, NEFT/RTGS, ISO 20022, Cross-border). This role requires strong domain expertise, leadership in stakeholder management, and the ability to mentor junior BAs.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Leadership
Own business requirement gathering, impact analysis, and documentation (BRD, FSD, user stories).
Ensure alignment with product strategy, regulatory mandates, and technical feasibility.
Domain Expertise
Deep understanding of card issuing/acquiring, UPI/A2A payments, ISO 8583/20022 messaging, and cross-border flows.
Knowledge of merchant onboarding, settlement, chargebacks, and dispute lifecycle.
Regulatory & Compliance
Embed RBI guidelines, PCI DSS, tokenization mandates, AML/KYC, and scheme rules into requirements.
Ensure compliance with authentication standards (EMV 3DS, SCA).
Process Design & Optimization
Create end-to-end process flows, journey maps, and operating models.
Drive process re-engineering for efficiency and scalability.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a bridge between business and technology teams.
Conduct workshops, manage senior stakeholder expectations, and resolve conflicts.
Delivery Enablement
Support solution design, UAT, and production readiness.
Ensure traceability from requirements to delivery.
Team Leadership
Mentor junior BAs, review deliverables, and enforce best practices in documentation and analysis.
Required Skills
