HPE Networking, a leading provider of AI-driven next-generation networking solutions, is redefining the Edge and creating new customer experiences through intelligent spaces and digital workspaces. Our solutions focus on campus, branch, mobility, and IoT, combining compute, context, control, analytics, automation, and secure connectivity.
We are looking for a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer (SE) in the Washington, DC area to provide pre-sales technical support for complex technology solutions and ensure customer satisfaction through the technical sales process and solution deployment. Responsibilities
Create and define a technological roadmap for assigned clients, focusing on HPE Networking priority areas.
Document technology solutions and proposals that meet customer business requirements.
Implement and support customer Proof-of-Concept engagements, proving HPE solutions meet or exceed customer expectations.
Maintain knowledge of competitive solutions to strategically position HPE products and highlight differentiators.
Interface with internal and external experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solution development.
Support proposal development and technical aspects related to deal closure in complex and competitive situations.
Understand the HPE channel and build relationships with partners to increase sales via the channel. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technology/engineering or related field, or significant experience in networking technology and pre-sales activities.
Minimum 4+ years of technical professional, pre-sales/post-sales experience.
Extensive experience in routing, switching, wireless, security, SASE/SD-WAN, data center, and network management platforms (both on-premises and cloud-based).
Hold networking certifications (HPE, Aruba, Juniper, Cisco, etc.).
Experience in network access security (eg, HPE Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Access Assurance, Cisco ISE).
Experience creating solution sales offerings spanning multiple product and service portfolios in a competitive market.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate product knowledge into customer business value.
Team-oriented, customer-first approach to business plan execution. Additional Skills

USD 175,000 - 411,500 (annual) in Maryland - base plus target-level sales compensation (75% base/25% target). Salary ranges may vary by location, experience, training, and skill level. Equal Employment Opportunity
