Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading digital organisation on a high-profile initiative focused on the future of their subscription experience. They are seeking an experienced UX Product Designer to join their internal Subscription Flexibility & Product Movement team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end design role where you will shape commercially impactful, user-centred experiences across subscription journeys. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, E-commerce, and Legal teams to deliver both tactical improvements and longer-term strategic redesigns.
The role is paying up to £500 per day, inside IR35, and is hybrid based from the central London office a minimum of one day per week, with occasional travel to Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead discovery and user research to validate freemium models, pricing strategies, and monetisation opportunities using a human-centred approach
Design end-to-end user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes that articulate the value of premium experiences and subscription options
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and business stakeholders to align design solutions with commercial goals
Facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions to explore experience improvements and future flexibility
Deliver high-quality UI in Figma, from early concepts through to polished, high-fidelity designs
Champion accessibility, usability, and design best practice across all outputs
Support seamless subscription management journeys, including cross-sell, upsell, and cancellation flows
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience designing digital products, ideally within subscription-based SaaS or e-commerce environments
Strong UX and UI design skills, with the ability to take concepts from discovery to delivery
Experience designing feature gating and subscription-driven experiences (case studies preferred)
Ability to frame ambiguous problems, define opportunities, and explore multiple solutions
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders
Lead on work to understand the change and benefits management requirements of the organisation, implementing and designing key change management practices. The role will provide support across key areas of transformation, working alongside project delivery to ensure business changes are coordinated and meet strategic goals
