Manufacturing ERP Specialist
Our client is a UK-based launch vehicle provider committed to environmental sustainability and advancing space capabilities. With the goal of conducting the first-ever vertical orbital launch from the UK, they aim to fill a critical gap in the market by providing cost-effective, sustainable access to space.
Role Overview:
The Manufacturing ERP Specialist is responsible for the technical administration, configuration and optimisation of the ERP system supporting end-to-end manufacturing operations.
This role ensures accurate execution of production planning, material requirements planning (MRP), shop-floor control, inventory management, and manufacturing cost accounting within the ERP environment. As the specialist, you will serves as a functional – technical expert, translating manufacturing requirements into scalable ERP system solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and support ERP manufacturing modules (e.g., MRP, BOMs, routings, production orders, inventory, quality, and shop floor control)
Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing users, IT and external ERP vendors
Troubleshoot ERP issues related to production planning, inventory, costing, and execution
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across manufacturing and inventory transactions
Lead or support ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations
Support reporting and analytics related to production performance, costs, and KPIs
Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and system configurations
Assist with change management and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years of hands on experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
Ability to analyse complex manufacturing workflows and translate them into ERP configurations
Experience with at least one major ERP platform (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Epicor, NetSuite)
In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing and MRP processes, with experience managing BOMs, work centres and inventory/traceability in an ERP system
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience in the aerospace, defence, or similar high-tech industries
Familiarity with advanced ERP reporting and analytics tools
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience
