Senior Back-End / CMS Developer (University & Institutional Websites)

Location: Remote

CCI is looking for a Senior Back-End / CMS Developer to work on large university and public-sector websites. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and maintainable CMS-driven platforms that support content-heavy, accessibility-compliant institutional sites.

Responsbilitities:

CMS implementation and backend architecture (Cascade, WordPress, Drupal, or similar)
Template systems, components, workflows, and content models
Integrations (forms, search, CRM such as Salesforce, analytics)
Content migration, performance, security, and reliability
Supporting accessibility (WCAG) and governance requirements

Qualifications:

7+ years backend or CMS development experience
Real experience working on university or institutional websites
Strong experience with at least one enterprise CMS (Cascade preferred)
Experience with PHP / Java / .NET or similar (depending on CMS)
Understanding of security, performance, and scalable architectures
Experience supporting content migration and editorial workflows

Prefered Skills:

Direct experience with higher education websites
Experience with Cascade CMS (Hannon Hill)
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM integrations
Experience working in public sector or accessibility-regulated environments
