Job title: Senior Back-End / CMS Developer
Role Summary: Build and maintain scalable, secure, and accessibility‑compliant CMS‑driven institutional websites for universities and public‑sector organizations. Drive backend architecture, content migration, and integration work to support high‑volume, content‑heavy portals.
Expectations: 7+ years of backend or CMS development, proven experience on university or institutional sites, deep knowledge of enterprise CMS and secure, high‑performance architecture, and a track record of facilitating editorial workflows and migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize CMS‑driven platforms (Cascade, WordPress, Drupal, or equivalent).
- Develop template systems, components, workflows, and content models tailored to institutional needs.
- Integrate third‑party services (forms, search, Salesforce, analytics) into the CMS.
- Lead content migration projects, ensuring performance improvements and secure data handling.
- Enforce WCAG accessibility and governance standards across all sites.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance platform performance, security, and reliability.
Required Skills:
- Enterprise CMS expertise (Cascade CMS preferred; experience with WordPress, Drupal acceptable).
- Proficiency in backend development languages (PHP, Java, .NET or similar).
- Strong understanding of scalable, secure, high‑performance architecture.
- Experience with editorial workflow automation and content migration.
- Ability to integrate CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other third‑party services.
- Familiarity with accessibility regulations and higher‑education website requirements.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
