Job Title: Senior Backend / Full Stack Engineer (Go / Java)

Location: Richmond, VA or McLean, VA (Onsite)

Role Overview

Capital One is seeking Backend-focused Full Stack Engineers with strong GoLang and AWS experience. This role focuses on building scalable, cloud-native backend services while maintaining collaboration with frontend teams.

Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services using GoLang
Build and maintain microservices in a 100% AWS environment
Work with DynamoDB and other AWS data services
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker & Kubernetes
Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers
Ensure system performance, scalability, and security

Required Skills

Strong GoLang backend development
Java and/or Python experience
Deep AWS experience (EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, IAM)
Microservices architecture
Docker & Kubernetes
Agile / CI-CD practices
