Job Title: Senior Frontend / Full Stack Engineer (React)

Location: Richmond, VA or McLean, VA (Onsite role)

Type: C2C

Role Overview

Capital One is looking for Frontend-focused Full Stack Engineers who bring strong React expertise with working knowledge of backend services and AWS. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building modern, scalable UI experiences while collaborating closely with backend and product teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain React-based frontend applications
Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions
Integrate frontend components with backend APIs
Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support
Stay current with modern frontend technologies and best practices
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence

Required Skills

Strong React.js experience
TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
AWS exposure (EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, etc.)
API integration and microservices awareness
Docker & Kubernetes (working knowledge)
Agile / Scrum experience

Nice to Have

GoLang, Java, or Python exposure
Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments
