About the Role

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to champion WEG’s market‑leading portfolio of Low Voltage Electric Motors, Automation products (Variable Speed Drives & Soft Starters), and Gearboxes/Geared Motors.

In this field‑based role, you’ll take ownership of developing existing accounts while also identifying and winning new business opportunities across the UK. If you love variety, autonomy, and seeing your impact directly contribute to growth—this is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Grow revenue from an established customer base and create new business opportunities
Use your technical expertise to deliver the best WEG‑based solutions to customer challenges
Follow up on quotations and convert them into successful orders
Deliver exceptional customer service that builds long-term relationships
Provide accurate and timely responses to pricing and delivery enquiries
Review customer specifications and prepare written quotations
Contribute positively to team culture and work collaboratively
Generate key reports to support team and company KPIs

What You Bring

Essential Skills

Excellent communication—clear, confident, and customer‑focused
Strong team player with great organisational and planning abilities
Proficient in IT tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to stay level‑headed under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong decision‑making and prioritisation skills
Flexible mindset (duties, locations, hours)
Proactive, curious, and committed to continuous improvement
Passion for delivering first‑class customer service

Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

Solid understanding of Low Voltage Electric Motors and their applications
Experience within the UK LV Motor market and knowledge of major competitors
Must be based in the North West, South West of England or Wales and be immediately eligible to work in the UK.

Desirable:

Knowledge of gearboxes, geared motors, or automation control systems
ONC / HNC / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
