Job Title: Software Developer - Full Stack - Senior
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)
Duration: 11+ Months (with Possible extension)
Client: Public Sector
Pay Rate: CAD 75-85/hr
Role Overview:
Responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and testing changes to large, complex, and legacy applications, ensuring business requirements, technical upgrades, and security standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business/technical changes and document impacts on UI, middleware, database, reporting, security, and managed services.
Design and validate system component changes across UI, middleware, database, reporting, and security.
Implement, unit test, and deploy changes, update DevOps repositories and documentation.
Support integrated testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment; resolve issues.
Maintain technical documentation and test plans; ensure compliance with Public Sector IT standards.
Must-Have Skills:
10+ years supporting/maintaining large, complex legacy applications (Java, WebSphere, Tomcat, MySQL, Oracle).
10+ years developing with EJB, Eclipse, Spring Boot, UML, ER Diagrams.
5+ year’s experience with Hibernate, JPA, DevOps, and Power BI.
4+ years experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, REST APIs, JSON, React/Redux.
Strong knowledge of security, authentication, authorization, and session management.
Public Sector experience in Health projects, policies, and IT project approvals preferred.
Core Competencies:
Technical analysis, coding, unit testing, system design, and documentation.
Agile/Scrum SDLC experience.
Strong consulting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Education/Experience:
Proven track record in supporting mission-critical applications.
Expertise in technical system specifications and translating them into functional solutions.
