IT/Cyber Security Operations Engineer – London (Hybrid) - £35,000–£65,000

A rapidly growing cyber consultancy is expanding its London operations following significant investment. The organisation delivers a holistic blend of IT and security services, supporting clients across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and defensive security. With strong growth plans and an evolving service model, the team is scaling quickly and looking for smart, driven individuals who want to build a long‑term career in cyber and IT operations.

This is a hybrid, hands on role ideal for graduates or early career technologists who have a passion for cyber security, who want broad exposure across IT, infrastructure, and security. You’ll work directly with clients, troubleshoot issues on site, and support a wide range of technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Support and troubleshoot client IT environments (networking, cloud, infrastructure, operating systems).
Work across defensive security and IT operations.
Engage directly with users and stakeholders to resolve issues in person.
Contribute to a new, evolving service model focused on solving complex IT challenges.
Operate in hybrid environments across cloud and on‑prem systems.
Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver high‑quality technical outcomes.

What They’re Looking For

Strong academic background — ideally a computer science or computer‑related degree.
Graduates or candidates with 1–2 years’ experience in IT or security.
Tangible evidence of interest in computing (projects, modules, internships, labs, etc.).
Solid understanding of:
Networking fundamentals
Operating systems
Basic security concepts
Excellent communication skills — able to speak with clients and solve problems on‑site.
A proactive, hands‑on mindset and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

CompTIA Security+ or similar entry‑level certifications.
Experience in cloud environments or infrastructure support.
Broader exposure to IT operations or helpdesk roles.
