Job Specifications

ERP Project Manager – 18 Month Contract

Location: Poole, Dorset (mostly onsite)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Contract: 18 Months

Pay: £500–£700 per day (inside IR35) OR £70,000–£90,000 salary – flexible depending on experience

The Opportunity:

If you’re an ERP Project Manager who wants ownership, visibility, and influence, this role puts you right at the centre of a major business transformation.

This is a live ERP programme with board-level attention, clear funding, and a defined roadmap. The groundwork has been done – ERP selected, implementation partner in place, discovery completed – and the project is now moving into build and delivery.

What’s needed is an experienced ERP Project Manager who can take control, create momentum, and drive the programme through to successful go-live.

This is not a handover role. You will be the person accountable for delivery.

Pay Rate Options:

Day rate of £500-700 (please note that this is likely to be inside IR35)
Option to take fixed term contract on PAYE salary up to £90,000 p.a. plus bonus and extensive company benefits

Why This Role Stands Out:

Clear ownership of a multi-phase ERP implementation
High-visibility reporting into the Business Transformation Director
Established implementation partner already engaged
Opportunity to shape user adoption, change management and long-term ERP success
Two-stage go-live programme (Q4 2026 and H1 2027)
A values-led organisation that takes delivery, quality and culture seriously

What the ERP Integration Developer Will Do:

As the ERP Project Manager, you will take ownership of the programme from its current stage and ensure continuity, structure and delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

Taking full ownership of the ERP project and driving it through to completion
Reviewing, validating and maintaining existing project artefacts (PID, SDD, RAID, plans)
Establishing and maintaining robust project governance, cadence and reporting
Managing internal stakeholders, senior leadership and external partners
Coordinating cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, Sales and Customer Services
Overseeing risk management, particularly around testing, data migration and cutover
Ensuring day-one operational readiness for go-live
Tracking budgets, timelines and resources to ensure delivery within scope
Driving user adoption, training and change management across the business
Providing clear, regular updates to senior stakeholders

What You Need:

The business is focused on capability rather than ticking every box and needs someone who will be proactive, resilient and comfortable stepping into a project mid-flight. The ideal ERP Project Manager will bring:

Proven experience delivering multiple ERP implementations end-to-end (at least 5)
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or similar industries
Strong project management background (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2 or similar)
Experience managing complex, multi-phase ERP programmes
Confidence working in live business environments with competing priorities
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience managing third-party vendors and implementation partners
A practical, hands-on approach to risk, issues and delivery
Ability to quickly assess project health and take corrective action

Why You Should Apply:

This is a rare opportunity to take over a meaningful ERP programme at exactly the point where strong leadership matters most.

You’ll have ownership, visibility and the chance to shape how the business operates for years to come. This role will not be about firefighting, it will be about delivery, structure and long-term success.

If you’re an ERP Project Manager who enjoys accountability, stakeholder engagement, and delivering business change, this role is absolutely worth a conversation!
