Mission
Support our Corporate Development team in scaling Qonto's strategic activities across M&A, investor relations, and global partnerships while pioneering the use of AI tools to enhance our efficiency. You will report to Philippe, our Corporate Development Principal, who will help you gain a unique window into how major strategic decisions are made at one of France's leading startups.
As a Corporate Development Intern at Qonto, you will
Efficiently map ecosystems & screen targets: You will conduct strategic market research to map specific sectors (e.g., Invoice Financing) and identify potential M&A targets using databases like Crunchbase.
Support Investor Relations & Deal Valuation: You will assist in corporate financial analysis, including modeling and valuation work, to support our investor relations and deal execution efforts.
Modernize Corp Dev workflows: You will leverage Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to automate research processes and improve the team's operational efficiency.
Synthesize findings for senior stakeholders: You will produce executive-level summaries and analyses to support decision-making at the highest level of the company.
What you can expect
Real M&A Exposure: Unlike theoretical internships, you will witness actual deal execution. Qonto has already completed acquisitions like Regate and Penta and is actively evaluating new targets.
Innovation at the Core: You will be at the forefront of integrating emerging technologies into business strategy, with a specific mandate to explore and implement AI tools for corporate development.
Mentorship from Experts: You will work alongside Baptiste and Philippe, senior team members with deep institutional and private equity knowledge.
High-Impact Work: You will join a small, high-performing team where your work on market mapping and investor reporting will directly feed into Qonto's strategic roadmap.
Tools we use: We rely heavily on Notion for knowledge management, Crunchbase for market intelligence, and Generative AI tools to accelerate our research.
