Role: Senior Quality Engineer (Mobile Automation)

Duration: 6 Months (Contract)

Work Arrangement: Full‑Time, Onsite (3–4 days per week)

Rate: $50 – $55 per hour

Experience Required: 7+ Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Senior Quality Engineer with a strong background in Mobile Automation Testing to join Tangerine’s Quality Engineering team. This role will focus on delivering high‑quality mobile solutions by driving automation strategy, framework development, and end‑to‑end mobile testing for both iOS and Android platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of overall automation testing experience
4+ years of hands‑on Mobile Automation Testing experience
Strong hands‑on expertise with:
Selenium
TypeScript
WebdriverIO framework
Solid understanding of mobile testing concepts, including device variability, OS fragmentation, and use of emulators/simulators
Proven ability to work independently and make informed decisions related to:
Test strategy
Automation approach
Risk assessment and mitigation
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills

Experience in Banking or Financial Services (highly desirable)
Exposure to API testing and backend validation
Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute end‑to‑end mobile automation testing for iOS and Android applications
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium and TypeScript
Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks leveraging WebdriverIO
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
Identify, analyze, and communicate quality risks and mitigation strategies
Ensure automation best practices, coding standards, and reusability across projects
