Position: Solutions Architect - Platform Services

Job Description

This role gives you the opportunity to design and implement modern, enterprise-grade solutions including event-driven architecture patterns, complex multi-party relationship models, scalable data ingestion pipelines from core systems such as Facets and HIPAA-compliant, cloud-native services built on AWS.

Technical experience Must have: Go / Python /Node.js microservices, AWS serverless and container platforms, Kubernetes, Terraform, event-driven architecture, API Gateway patterns, service mesh. Legacy Java/Spring Boot knowledge helpful but not primary focus.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Leadership: Lead the architectural design for Digital Product Profiles framework supporting complex multi-party relationships (caregivers, guardians, employer users) with extensible data models
Cross-Team Technical Coordination: Serve as primary technical liaison between Platform Services, Digital Products, CDP, Security/Compliance and vendor teams (MessageGears, AWS)
Solution Design: Create comprehensive technical design documents, data flow diagrams, API contracts, and integration patterns for:
Message Gears non-member identity integration
AWS Pinpoint phone validation service with intelligent caching strategies
HIPAA-compliant data ingestion pipelines from Facets claims system
Event-driven architecture patterns for identity propagation across platform
Vendor Integration Strategy: Design integration patterns with MessageGears platform, AWS Pinpoint, and external identity providers
Security & Compliance Architecture: Ensure all designs meet HIPAA, SOC2, and internal security standards; design audit logging, encryption at rest/in transit, and least-privilege access patterns
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to senior/mid-level engineers on implementation approach, code reviews, and best practices
Proof of Concepts: Build rapid prototypes to validate architectural decisions before full implementation
Documentation: Create ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), sequence diagrams, service boundary definitions and API specifications
This is a player-coach role - 60% architecture/design, 40% hands-on coding/code review.
