Job Specifications
We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to support the full development lifecycle for the redesign of our client's website.
This role will work closely with UX, design, content, project management, and analytics teams to build a high performing, accessible, and user friendly site. Because the CMS platform has not yet been selected, the ideal candidate is a flexible, multi platform developer with demonstrated experience in several modern CMS environments (e.g., WordPress, Contentful, Drupal, AEM, or headless/decoupled solutions).
You will contribute to CMS selection, lead front end and CMS development, implement redirects, ensure SEO-friendly builds, and support extensive QA and optimization leading up to launch.
The rate is $65.00 per hour T4. This will be remote, starting March 16th, and will be about 80 hours of work over the span of 2-3 months.
Responsibilities
Website Development & CMS Implementation
" Lead the development of the redesigned website, ensuring high-quality, responsive, and accessible execution.
" Provide input on CMS recommendations based on project requirements, scalability, and pre-approved CMS options.
" Implement CMS architecture, templates, modules, components, and integrations once the platform is selected.
" Collaborate with content teams to ensure content entry and structure follow UX and SEO best practices.
Front End Development
" Build pixel-perfect, responsive front end components based on approved wireframes and visual design.
" Ensure smooth animations, transitions, and micro interactions where applicable.
" Maintain best practices for performance optimization, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility.
Integrations & Technical Support
" Support Google Analytics implementation and other third party integrations.
" Implement SEO critical elements such as metadata, schema, and redirect mappings.
" Ensure design and content updates are technically feasible and effectively implemented.
Testing, QA & Launch Support
" Conduct thorough QA across devices and browsers.
" Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and CMS/content related errors.
" Support pre launch technical reviews, optimization, and final deployment tasks.
" Assist in post launch support and iterative fixes as needed.
Qualifications
" 4+ years of web development experience, ideally on large-scale website redesigns.
" Experience with multiple CMS platforms, with the ability to quickly ramp on a selected system (e.g., WordPress, Contentful, Drupal, AEM, Craft, headless CMS frameworks).
" Solid understanding of CMS templating, content modeling, and component-based architecture.
" Strong front-end development skills: HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
" Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), performance optimization, and SEO basics.
" Experience with redirects, URL mapping, and structured content migrations.
" Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional UX, design, content, analytics, and QA teams.
" Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and modern development pipelines.
" Experience with AWS-hosted environments is a plus.
