This role is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity and sits in the Talent Acquisition team (Experienced Hires) which is in the People Strategy & Insights (PS&I) function in the Bank's People Directorate.

The Talent Acquisition Team (Experienced Hires) are responsible for the Bank's candidate and hiring manager experience - identifying, attracting and hiring great talent through our internal mobility (internal appointments, redeployment) and external hiring strategies working closely with hiring managers to understand their business, skills and workforce needs.

About the role

As we introduce a new partnering model within the PS&I function. This role will partner with the business to build strong trust-based relationships across the Bank by understanding the needs of those we support specifically focussed on several key projects. Therefore, we are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our Talent Acquisition team on a 12-month basis. The role will focus primarily on managing the internal mobility activities as part of the Bank's internal selection & recruitment process, and the change agenda to ensure a smooth, supportive and compliant experience for our internal colleagues in the Bank's redeployee pool.

The successful candidate will also lead on a range of recruitment-related projects, working with the Talent Acquisition Manager to deliver strategic hiring initiatives and process improvements, that serve to enhance the hiring manager service and candidate experience and be aligned to the Bank's needs.

In addition, the role holder will manage the day-to-day relationship with an external supplier of day rate contractors through our dedicated procurement partner through the Crown Commercial Services framework (CCS).

This role requires a high level of patience, empathy and responsiveness, particularly when supporting colleagues through the internal mobility process, therefore working quickly and effectively at pace is critical to success. The successful candidate will be expected to manage competing priorities with strong organisational skills, while ensuring all activity is compliant with internal policies and procedures.

Exercising good judgement is essential, especially when identifying and escalating potential risks or sensitive issues. The ability to communicate clearly, act with discretion, and maintain a people-centred approach will be key to success in this role.

Role Responsibilities

Lead & manage the internal mobility activities (including administration) as part of the Bank's recruitment process, ensuring a smooth, supportive, and compliant experience for internal colleagues in the redeployee pool. Working closely with People Business Partners, managers, legal team and Employee Relations.
Lead recruitment-related projects in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager, contributing to hiring initiatives and process improvements that aim to enhance the hiring manager service and candidate experience.
Keeping the Talent Acquisition Manager regularly updated and informed on redeployment progress, project developments, and any emerging risks or issues, ensuring timely communication.
Prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining strong organisational discipline.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, bringing forward solutions and contributing expertise to enhance recruitment operations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of redeployment activity, and provide timely data as requested by the Talent Acquisition Manager.
Manage the day-to-day relationship with the external supplier of Bank contractors, ensuring they meet agreed terms and performance standards.

Role Requirements

Minimum Criteria

Experience of leading and being accountable for at least one aspect of a high-volume recruitment/internal mobility employment process, along with a strong understanding of the recruitment cycle and partnering with business areas on a regular basis.
Strong organisational, attention to detail and time management skills, with an eye for detail, accuracy and the ability to prioritise high level/volume of tasks and drive them to completion, at pace.
