The typical salary range for this position is $41 300.00 - $61 900.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.

This posting is for an existing temporary, full-time position.

Summary

This position is responsibility for assisting and supporting the QA Specialists with their daily best before date audits, product checks and completions of Vendor Return documents.

Specific Responsibilities

Random product checks - Produce quality check, based on random checks and requests from Merchandising and Procurement
Daily quality audits - Organic quality checks
Complete "Return to Vendor" documents - RTV documents to facilitate product returns
Assist CFIA and Third-party inspection agencies - gather samples and assist cleaning up the inspection area
Complete daily Dates and Alert audits - a morning report checking Best Before Date of salads and processed product
Complete daily logs and reports - record daily rejection and inspections into a QA report
Inbound quality and short weight inspections - Assist QA with inbound inspections
Communicate with Buyers, Toronto and Laval QA, QA Manager and Director
Assist Full Time QA Specialist with daily duties

Qualifications

Produce experience an asset, Grocery retail experience necessary
Able to work in different temperature areas (3C to 23C)
Able to lift 50 lb.
Able to commit to the following work schedule: 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday
Available to work weekends or holidays as needed, flexibility with work hours required
Some Excel and Word experience
Able to work independently
