Job Description

The client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to support enterprise application testing, data validation, and system integration initiatives. This role involves hands-on testing, defect management, test automation support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a regulated government environment. The candidate must be comfortable working onsite five days per week in Tallahassee, FL.

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including:
Test planning
Test execution
Defect tracking and management
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, including:
Functional testing
Regression testing
Manual and automated testing
Experience with performance testing, application troubleshooting, and validating system stability across multiple environments
Familiarity with enterprise system integrations and data validation processes
Knowledge of PCI compliance and secure application development best practices
Hands-on experience with QA tools such as:
Selenium
JMeter
Oracle WebLogic Server
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for:
Test documentation
Defect reporting
Cross-team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites for complex enterprise applications
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint ceremonies
Experience using version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
Knowledge of application and data security best practices within QA processes
Prior experience working in government or public sector environments
Experience with RESTful API testing and service validation
Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills
Ability to drive continuous process improvement

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
OR
Equivalent professional experience
QA-related certifications preferred:
ISTQB Certified Tester
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)

Contractor Responsibilities

Execute test cases and document results
Log, track, and verify defect remediation
Prepare test execution reports and defect logs
Validate data integrity and system functionality post-fix
Configure and manage QA methodologies and automation tool components
Support defect resolution and retesting cycles
Participate in system integration efforts with Florida PALM and FLAIR
Perform data validation and reconciliation testing across:
Databases
Applications
Data warehouses
Third-party APIs and cloud services
Ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
Collaborate with stakeholders to define:
Data mapping
Transformation rules
Validation requirements
Implement data quality checks and error-handling mechanisms
Support scheduled and on-demand ETL processes
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions on QA tools and processes
Create and maintain:
Technical documentation
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Attend project meetings and provide regular status updates
Submit weekly project reports and timesheets
