Oracle DBA - Contract (6 months)
Location: Knaresborough (1-2 days onsite per week)/Will consider Remote Candidates
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential 6-month extension)
Rate: Inside Day rate
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to support and maintain Oracle database environments on a 6-month contract. The role will involve day-to-day DBA activities, performance tuning, and ensuring availability, security, and reliability of databases.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration and support of Oracle databases (installation, configuration, upgrades)
Performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting
Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery support
Ensuring database security, patching, and compliance
Supporting production and non-production environments
Working closely with infrastructure and application teams
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an Oracle DBA
Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning
Experience with backup and recovery (eg RMAN)
Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
Comfortable working in a hybrid onsite/remote setup
