About the Role

A well-established business within the timber and building materials industry is seeking an experienced Sales Manager – Timber Products to drive growth across merchants, contractors, distributors, and regional partners.

This is a pivotal opportunity for a proactive salesperson with strong timber sector experience to take ownership of a region, build long-term relationships, and expand market presence for a respected supplier.

Key Responsibilities-

New Business Development: Identify, approach, and secure new merchant, contractor, and distributor accounts.
Account Management: Grow and retain existing customers, increasing repeat orders and product uptake.
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a structured, high‑quality sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
Market Representation: Attend site visits, merchant counters, and industry events to promote products and strengthen relationships.
Product Development Support: Drive growth across battens, carcassing, cladding, and specialist timber lines while feeding market insight back into the business.

Required Profile –

Strong experience in timber sales
Solid product knowledge across key timber categories
A well-established UK network within merchants and contractors
A track record of winning, developing, and retaining accounts
Confidence working autonomously in a growing organisation
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
