Overview

A leading global investment manager is seeking a desk-aligned software engineer to join their Equity Research team. You will work closely with portfolio managers and researchers, developing the tools they depend on for portfolio construction, monitoring, and decision-grade analytics.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning live production systems, rapidly iterating based on direct user feedback, and delivering polished front-end experiences built on robust data and risk infrastructure.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with portfolio managers and researchers to enhance portfolio construction, trading, and monitoring processes

- Develop risk, performance, and portfolio analytics for live portfolios

- Build scalable tools to handle large financial datasets and research inputs

- Design interactive, web-optimized visualizations and UI components for internal users

- Own the production services, ensuring reliability and optimal performance

- Deliver solutions iteratively, incorporating feedback from desks and refining rapidly

Experience

- 3 to 7 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably with exposure to front office or fundamental investing

- Proficient in Python for data-driven development

- Experience with React and TypeScript in building modern front-end applications

- Familiarity with AWS

- Able to manage multiple priorities and collaborate directly with investment users
