The opportunity

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join Sense at a pivotal stage of growth.

This is a high-impact role at the front of our revenue engine, responsible for generating and qualifying pipeline for our B2B SaaS platform. You’ll work closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to engage target accounts, start meaningful conversations, and book high-quality meetings that convert into revenue.

It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their sales career in a fast-growing, purpose-driven SaaS company - with clear progression into Account Executive or other commercial roles.

This is a hybrid working opportunity based out of either our Manchester or Padiham (Burnley) offices.

What you’ll own

Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation:

Identify and engage target accounts through outbound channels (LinkedIn, email, phone etc.)
Attend events & expos to generate new leads
Research prospects to personalise outreach and increase response rates

Pipeline Generation:

Book high-quality discovery meetings for the closing Sales team
Consistently hit (and exceed) monthly activity and meeting targets
Maintain accurate pipeline data within the CRM

Collaboration & Feedback:

Work closely with Marketing to feedback on lead quality, messaging, and ICP fit
Collaborate with Sales to refine qualification criteria and handover processes
Contribute insights from the market to help shape positioning and outreach strategies

Process & Optimisation:

Follow and improve SDR playbooks, sequences, and talk tracks
Test and iterate messaging to improve conversion rates across channels
Take ownership of your performance metrics and continuous improvement

The requirements

1–3 years’ experience in a Sales Development / Business Development role (B2B SaaS preferred)
Comfortable with outbound prospecting and starting conversations with senior stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and sales engagement tools
Experience using outreach / sales intelligent tools (Apollo.io preferred)
Resilient, motivated, and comfortable working towards targets
Curious mindset with a desire to learn, improve, and grow quickly
Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing your pipeline

The process

Initial screening call (5-10 mins)
Sales interview & experience deep dive (30 mins)
Outbound strategy & approach presentation (1 hour)
Final discussion with leadership (30 mins)
