Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Auditor to lead and manage cybersecurity audit activities across the organization. The ideal candidate will plan, execute, and report on security audits, ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements, and provide strategic recommendations to improve security posture. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of cybersecurity audits and assessments.
Evaluate security controls, policies, and processes against international standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Identify vulnerabilities and risks; provide actionable recommendations for mitigation.
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
Develop, maintain, and enhance audit methodologies, checklists, and documentation.
Mentor and guide junior auditors or audit team members.
Work closely with IT, risk, and compliance teams to ensure audit findings are understood and remediated.
Stay updated with evolving cybersecurity threats, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in cybersecurity auditing or related roles, with responsibility for leading audits.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, audit methodologies, and control frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to prepare clear and concise audit documentation and reports.
Leadership skills with experience guiding teams or mentoring others.
Preferred Skills / Certifications
Professional security/audit certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or equivalent.
Experience with cloud security assessments and modern security tooling.
Familiarity with GDPR and other EU regulatory requirements.
