Datacenter Engineer
Westerville, OH -Onsite
Rate Range $60 to $70 hr C2C All INC
Overview:
Job Responsibilities
Manage backups using Veeam and Rubrik backup and recovery
VMware Infrastructure Management
Deploy, Configure, and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure
Manage virtual machines (VM’s), clusters, and ESXi hosts
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization for Cisco UCS & HPE ProLiant Servers
Perform data restores and disaster recovery testing
Create reports on backup success and failures and resolve related incidents
Implement security best practices within the datacenter environment
Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Good knowledge of windows and Linux operating systems and command-line tools
Scripting ( PowerShell , Python)
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of work experience in datacentre support
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience with security best practices and implementing security measures
Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and security professionals.

Education Required::
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical work experience
