Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering leader to design, operate, and evolve enterprise technology platforms supporting Investment Management functions. This role is responsible for cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategy, platform reliability, and engineering excellence across environments that enable portfolio management, trading, research, and operational systems.
The ideal candidate brings deep infrastructure and cloud expertise, strong people leadership, and an understanding of the performance, availability, and resilience requirements of investment management platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow cloud and infrastructure engineering teams supporting Investment Management technology platforms
Define and execute cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategy aligned to investment, trading, and operational business needs
Architect and oversee enterprise infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, identity, and endpoint platforms
Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of platforms supporting portfolio management, trading, analytics, and market data systems
Drive cloud adoption, modernization, and optimization initiatives across investment management workloads
Establish operational best practices including automation, standardization, monitoring, capacity planning, and lifecycle management
Partner closely with application, data, security, and investment technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions
Communicate infrastructure strategy, risks, and roadmaps clearly to senior leadership and investment stakeholders
Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers, including market data and platform vendors
Lead teams through complex, time-sensitive initiatives with sound judgment, composure, and emotional intelligence
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of systems and data supporting investment activities
Represent the organization’s employment brand through inclusive leadership and collaborative engagement
Required Experience & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure and/or Cloud Engineering roles
Proven experience building and leading high-performing technical teams
Experience supporting Investment Management, Asset Management, or Financial Services technology environments
Expert knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including:
Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure strongly preferred)
Networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, load balancing, DNS)
Identity and access management platforms
Endpoint and device management
Experience designing and operating cloud and hybrid environments with high availability and low-latency requirements
Working knowledge of security principles applicable to infrastructure in regulated financial environments
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging executive leadership and investment stakeholders
Demonstrated professionalism, ethics, and integrity
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical or quantitative field
Cloud and infrastructure certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, ITIL)
Technical Environment (Preferred)
Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365
Identity platforms (Azure AD / Entra ID)
Endpoint and device management platforms
Infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability tools
Microsoft productivity tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
