Position Name – Senior Cloud Engineer/Technical Lead

Type of hiring – Fulltime

Location – Toronto, ON

Model – Hybrid (4 days/week required to come to office)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful microservices using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
Deploy and manage applications on PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Update and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit to ensure code quality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with databases such as Oracle, Sybase, and Spanner (preferred).
Develop and optimize stored procedures for backend data processing.
Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using Splunk and Dynatrace.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Java 8 or higher and Spring Boot.
Strong experience in REST API and microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience with PCF and GKE for cloud deployments.
Working knowledge of Helm and Kubernetes.
Experience with JUnit for unit testing.
Working experience with Oracle, Sybase, and Spanner databases.
Experience writing and optimizing stored procedures.
Proficient in using Splunk and Dynatrace for monitoring and diagnostics.
