The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Research Associate Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Branchburg, NJ. Details for the position are as follows:

Pay: $30-35/hr.
6-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.

Responsibilities:

Execute laboratory experiments to evaluate and characterize biologic and synthetic implantable materials, generating accurate and reproducible data in a timely manner.
Perform biomaterial characterization and analytical testing using techniques such as DSC, SEM, colorimetric assays, digital image analysis, and mechanical testing (e.g., Instron).
Analyze, organize, and interpret experimental data independently while collaborating with senior scientists and project team members.
Maintain detailed experimental records, protocols, and results in accordance with laboratory and project documentation standards.
Communicate findings through data summaries and reports to support project development and decision-making.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Scientists and Research Associates to optimize experimental design and troubleshoot technical challenges.
Contribute to a fast-paced research environment by learning new techniques quickly and applying strong attention to detail and scientific rigor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in material science, biomedical engineering or a related field with 1+ years of academic or industry laboratory experience
Experience with performing and troubleshooting a wide variety of material characterization assays is desired
Knowledge and familiarity with one or more of the following instruments: DSC, SEM, Instron
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic understanding of statistical analyses is a plus
