Job Specifications

We’re are partnering with a Lloyd's underwriting syndicate for a commercially curious, analytically strong FP&A Analyst to join a newly established FP&A team within a fast-evolving financial services business.

This role offers broad exposure across planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and early-stage business partnering — working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider organisation, as well as with a large parent group.

What You’ll Lead

Development and maintenance of financial models, forecasts, and planning tools
Ownership of key deliverables within planning and reforecasting cycles
Preparation of high-quality financial MI, budgets, and variance analysis for senior leadership and group stakeholders
Analysis of actuals versus plan, identifying trends, drivers, and risks in performance
Business partnering with operational teams to provide insight, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making
Contribution to the build-out of FP&A capability, including process improvement and future planning system implementation
Creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs to support real-time performance monitoring
Ad-hoc financial analysis and involvement in wider finance and business projects
Continuous improvement of FP&A processes, controls, and data quality
Staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulatory developments

What You Bring

2–5 years’ post-qualification experience (or equivalent) in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role
Good understanding of financial statements within a complex, regulated, or multi-entity environment
Strong Excel skills with the ability to build and interrogate complex models
Experience with planning or forecasting systems (e.g. enterprise planning tools) is beneficial
A natural curiosity to understand the story behind the numbers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to present complex information simply
A collaborative mindset and willingness to build relationships across the business
Appetite to learn, develop, and take ownership of your professional growth
