We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer as Solutions architect to join the Product Delivery Test (PDT) team within HPE Networking division. In this role, you will drive Data Center and Enterprise Campus solutions, design and testing strategy, ensuring robust, multi-dimensional scaled environment tailored to market segments and customer use cases for HPE's large customer base. Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
20+ years of experience in Internet protocols (TCP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6) and networking technologies.
Expertise with DC/AIML Fabrics including EVPN, IP Fabric with VXLAN or CLOS architecture.
Strong knowledge of Layer 2, Layer 3, MPLS VPNs, and High Availability (HA) features.
Proficient in BGP, OSPF/ISIS, ARP, VLAN, MC-LAG, LACP, EVPN-VXLAN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf, etc.
Experience with Layer 2 technologies such as Spanning Tree, LAG, MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis.
Knowledge of CLOS Architecture, HA design concepts, and preparing EVPN test plans.
Automation experience: debugging automation failures, narrowing software issues from test results and logs; Scripting in Python/Pytest/Go or other languages.
Proficiency with networking test equipment (Spirent, Ixia) and automation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Outstanding problem-solving skills in diagnosis and resolution of customer issues.
Self-starter, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement test topologies and test cases based on business needs of customers and reporting of end-to-end testing.
Work closely with test engineers to enhance solutions coverage and reduce customer-found defects in the field.
Review Python automation for efficient test scenarios and future regression tests.
Diagnose and resolve customer issues, supporting root-cause corrective action.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute multidimensional deployment scenarios to measure SW quality and performance benchmarks.
Analyze and root-cause software issues identified during execution, working with stakeholders.
Coordinate with teams across geographical locations and cross-functional teams, architects, and executives.
Work with HPE Networking product development and architecture teams to understand product/feature requirements and align with customer business/network priorities.
Build strong relationships with senior leadership to translate business objectives into project deliverables.
Highlight and brainstorm emerging technologies and customer use cases for product improvement.
Provide proof-of-concept to realize customer use-case scenarios.
Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting, TOIs, etc. Additional Skills

The expected salary/wage range for this position is United States of America: Annual Salary USD 183,000 - 370,500 in California. Variable incentives may also be offered. EEO Statement
