Cyber & Information Risk – Independent Risk Review Manager (VP)

Location: New Jersey (Hybrid - 2 days in office)

Comp: $125K–$160K base + bonus + benefits

This VP-level role sits within a mature, highly regulated environment where cyber and information risk truly matter. You’ll lead independent reviews across information security and data management, challenging remediation efforts, validating control effectiveness, and influencing outcomes that protect the firm at enterprise level.

You’ll work closely with information security, data management, technology leadership, audit, and regulators - bringing structure, insight, and credibility to complex risk decisions.

In this role, you will:

Execute horizontal and thematic independent risk reviews across top cyber and data risks
Identify control gaps and recommend pragmatic, industry-aligned improvements
Challenge remediation plans, monitor execution, and validate closure evidence
Present findings and risk insights to senior technology leadership, audit, and regulators
Act as a trusted risk partner across technology and business functions
Mentor junior team members and influence without relying on hierarchy

If you have 5+ years of experience in cyber and information risk governance within a complex, regulated environment - and you enjoy combining technical depth with confident stakeholder engagement - this role is worth a conversation.
