Cyber & Information Risk – Independent Risk Review Manager (VP)

Location: New Jersey (NYC area) | Type: Permanent / Fixed Term

Salary: $125k–$160k + bonus + 401(k) match + benefits

We’re hiring a VP-level Independent Risk Review Manager to lead reviews of cybersecurity and data management controls, challenge remediation plans, and strengthen the firm’s risk and control environment.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver independent reviews of key cyber/data risks and control gaps
Challenge remediation actions, track progress, validate closure evidence
Present findings to senior leadership, audit, and regulators
Support governance forums and mentor junior team members

Requirements:

5+ years in cyber and/or data risk governance, operations, or risk management
Experience in large-scale, highly regulated environments - Top-tier financial services experience within a highly regulated, high-volume environment is essential
Strong knowledge of frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Certifications like CISSP/CISM/CISA preferred
