Position Summary

Drive the implementation and activation of the e-commerce strategy in Belgium, ensuring best-in-class brand presence and commercial performance across major online retailers. The role focuses on executing activation campaigns, optimizing digital shelf content, and collaborating cross-functionally to accelerate online growth.

A day in the life of a E-commerce Specialist

E-commerce Strategy Execution: Implement the e-commerce strategy for Belgium, ensuring alignment with both local market needs and European guidelines. Localize and activate brand 5P online (product, placement, price, promotion, and e-content) for priority categories and customers.
Content & Activation Management: Manage and optimize e-commerce content across key retailers (Colruyt, Delhaize, Carrefour, Amazon, Bol.com, etc.), ensuring high-quality digital shelf presence and timely activation of campaigns. Lead the execution of onsite and offsite activation plans in collaboration with agencies and retailer partners.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Ensure strong alignment between internal (Marketing, Sales, eBusiness, Category Management, CDT units) and external stakeholders (agencies, retailers, BrandBank, Edge, Data Impact, etc.) on targets, tools, and activation plans.
Performance Measurement: Apply robust local measurement frameworks and KPIs (e.g., sales, online market share, e-content quality, search performance, digital shelf score) to track and accelerate business growth. Monitor and report on activation effectiveness, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Capability Building: Gather and share best practices, guidelines, and knowledge within the eSPOC community and across the organization. Support the development of internal capabilities by training sales teams and championing e-commerce expertise at all levels.
Innovation & Opportunity Development: Identify and unlock new growth opportunities, including cross-category initiatives, new players, and last-mile delivery strategies. Drive a test-and-learn mentality to pilot and scale new activation approaches.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the operations and development of local e-commerce platforms (e.g., nestlémarket.be). Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and the Nestlé culture of continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators
Digital Shelf Score and e-content quality
Online market share growth and sales acceleration
Activation campaign effectiveness (OTIF execution, retailer/agency feedback)
Capability assessment and completion rates for e-commerce training
Timely and accurate reporting of competitor and market trends

What Will Make You Successful

3+ years of commercial experience in Marketing, Sales, or Digital, with clear expertise in e-commerce activation
Strong understanding of the Belgian online retail market and digital marketing
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Analytical mindset with experience in KPI tracking and performance reporting
Fluent in French or Dutch and English
Autonomous, proactive, and open-minded, with a passion for continuous improvement and teamwork
