Job Specifications

Full Stack Developer (Product-Focused)

Build systems that run real businesses.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our inhouse team and help build and evolve our core operational platform, used daily across a large, complex automotive services business.

You’ll work on real operational problems involving people, pricing, workflows, and client-specific requirements. You’ll own solutions end to end, from UI through to backend logic.

If you enjoy autonomy, variety, and building software that actually gets used and relied on, this role will suit you.

What you’ll be doing

Owning and delivering features across our internal and customer-facing platform
Building bespoke functionality for large clients with real operational constraints
Designing clean, intuitive interfaces with a strong focus on usability
Working across the stack, from database and APIs through to browser
Integrating with third-party systems and external APIs
Making pragmatic technical decisions within an established architecture
Improving performance, reliability, and maintainability over time

You won’t be expected to redesign the platform from scratch.

You will be expected to take ownership, think critically, and deliver high quality solutions to real problems.

Essential experience

Strong experience with React and Next.js (App Router)
Solid JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge
Strong front-end instincts and attention to UI and UX quality
Experience with Tailwind CSS and component-based UI libraries (e.g. ShadCN)
Comfortable writing and understanding SQL Server queries
Experience working across both front-end and back-end codebases

Desirable (nice to have)

Experience with C# and SQL Server
Familiarity with Azure
Experience building or consuming APIs
Understanding of web security best practices
Exposure to Redis, caching, or performance optimisation
Experience with PWA concepts
Comfortable using tools like Bitbucket and Slack

How we work

Small, focused in-house development team
Modern stack with room to influence how things evolve
Pragmatic engineering over theory
Close collaboration with commercial and operational leaders

Why join us

Your work will directly impact how the business operates day to day
You’ll build systems that support real people, not just dashboards
You’ll have visibility, trust, and ownership
You’ll work on multiple meaningful projects, not endless tickets
You’ll have genuine influence over how things are built, not just what’s built

Benefits

Private healthcare
Company bonus linked to business performance
Dedicated self development budget to invest in courses, programmes, or learning that genuinely improves your skills
High degree of autonomy and trust in how you work
Remote working

Location and flexibility

Primarily remote with occasional in person meet ups for team collaboration.

Candidates must be based in the UK.

Salary

£55k - £75k dependant on experience.
