Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Location: Toronto, ON

1 year contract.

Pay Rate: $90 - $95/hr.

What You’ll Do:

Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications.
Develop detailed programming specifications, write code, compile data-driven programs, and conduct unit testing.
Design, develop, and maintain REST and SOAP web services.
Support applications across the SDLC, including integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Convert web services from SOAP to REST or vice versa.
Work with API platforms (e.g., Apigee/APIM) and ensure security, logging, caching, and analytics for APIs.
Collaborate with IT professionals and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

5+ years with Java OpenJDK 8 & 11
3+ years with Spring Boot 2/3
3+ years working with SOAP and REST Web Services
3+ years with Git, DevOps, CI/CD
3+ years with Docker and Kubernetes
Hands-on experience translating technical specifications into tested applications
Strong understanding of software development best practices, object-oriented programming, and API design

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with integration frameworks like Mule or Camel
Familiarity with Swagger/YAML API documentation
Knowledge of security frameworks (JWT, OAuth2)
Experience with rapid application development and cloud platforms like Azur
