Your impact

Our team has an immediate need for an Entry Level Business Development Assistant in our Toronto, ON, office. This position will be responsible for a variety of administrative support tasks. The primary focus will be procuring our client’s Requests for Qualifications and Proposals (RFQ and RFPs) and distributing them to internal stakeholders. The secondary focus will be collaborating with sales staff to produce strategically focused, professional-looking internal and external documents and marketing materials. The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, and demonstrates an ability to meet fast-paced deadlines and following through on commitments.

Searches for RFQ and RFPs on external digital eProcurement platforms (Bids and Tenders, Ariba, BC Bids, as well as others), distributing them to internal stakeholders, managing and distributing the subsequent addenda, and uploading the electronic proposal documents back into the eProcurement platform.
Provides marketing support to geographic business development team in collaboration with the corporate marketing team by interviewing staff to obtain information and drafting project win or new hire announcements for publication on LinkedIn, Jacobs External Website, as well as other platforms
Helps coordinate and develop sales documents such as proposals, including creating content; requires interfacing with project managers, graphic designers, and desktop publishing support staff across multiple time zones to deliver content that meets schedule and delivery requirements.
Proofreads and edits technical and non-technical documents for accuracy and consistency.
Assists sales leadership with routine activities such as gathering information from staff and drafting internal reports, including collecting and analyzing sales statistics, and developing timelines, tables, graphs for reports, correspondence, and presentations; preparing PowerPoint presentations; preparing meeting agendas and meeting minutes; setting up meetings in Microsoft Teams; and entering reoccurring information into Microsoft Excel files.
Assists client account managers and sales leads with preparing internal documentation such as project descriptions for sales use; gathering and publishing client quotes; and updating project team members’ master resume.

Here's what you'll need

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or technical fields preferred
AEC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting preferred
High level of attention to detail
An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Must be organized, with the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects, and work under tight deadlines

Posted Salary Range Minimum

65,000.00

Posted Salary Range Upper

75,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
