We’re Hiring: Data Modeller & BI Developer | Mercedes‑Benz Financial Services (MBFS UK)

Milton Keynes (Hybrid: 3 days per week on site)

Full-time | 6 months with another 6 month extension and potential for beyond

Mercedes‑Benz Financial Services UK (MBFS) is on a major data transformation journey — and we’re looking for an experienced Data Modeller & BI Developer to join us at the most exciting point in our evolution.

They are building a brand new, best‑in‑class data architecture using Microsoft Azure, MS Fabric and Databricks, enabling us to become a truly data-led organisation.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll work across both Go for Data UK transformation programme and Finance & MI teams, shaping how data is modelled, understood, and used across the business.

You’ll be responsible for:

Designing data models, schemas, CDEs, and KPIs across strategic data sources
Building and optimising Power BI dashboards (regulatory, finance, MI & central reporting)
Supporting the migration from Power BI Server → Power BI Service
Coaching data analysts and business users on BI best practice
Ensuring confidence, adoption, and literacy in new data models
Driving efficiencies, automation opportunities, and “quick wins” in our reporting ecosystem

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys blending technical expertise, business interaction, and hands‑on coaching — not just building dashboards, but helping people use them well.

What You’ll Bring

We're looking for someone who is:

Technical Expertise (Essential):

Power BI expert (Report Builder, Desktop, Service, Server, DAX)

Strong data modelling & schema design skills

Skilled in building measures, calculations, KPIs & Critical Data Elements

Familiar with Azure Data Lake concepts, Fabric & Databricks

Knowledge of SQL & SSIS

Confident using Power Automate, Power Pivot, SharePoint, Teams

Business Skills:

Excellent communicator & data storyteller

Able to coach analysts & influence stakeholders

Analytical and solutions-focused mindset

Comfortable working in agile environments

Innovative, curious, and proactive

Cognos or Tableau experience = bonus.
