About The Role

As a Senior Business Systems Engineer, you will be the primary technical steward for the entire Order-to-Cash (OTC) ecosystem spanning NetSuite, Salesforce, and integrated billing platforms. Your day-to-day focus will be on configuring and maintaining these systems to ensure the accurate, compliant, and automated flow of every financial transaction from quote creation through customer payment and final revenue recognition. This role is critical for driving financial efficiency, supporting accurate revenue integrity (ASC 606), and strengthening SOX compliance across core accounting processes.

Who You Are

This section contains the technical and measurable requirements for the role:

Experience: 6–8 years of experience supporting, implementing, and configuring enterprise ERP systems, with a strong preference for NetSuite.
NetSuite Expertise: Proven ability to configure and maintain core NetSuite modules, specifically Sales Orders, Invoices, Credit Memos, Payment Applications, and Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) for deferred and recognized revenue.
OTC Process Knowledge: Deep functional experience with the end-to-end Order-to-Cash lifecycle, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, and Fixed Asset processes.
Billing Models: Experience supporting complex billing logic for diverse revenue models (e.g., subscription, milestone, or usage-based).
Integration Acumen: Familiarity with integrating front-office systems (like Salesforce CRM/CPQ) with ERP systems, and experience utilizing integration or automation tools (e.g., Workato, Boomi) is highly desirable.
Financial Acumen: Basic, demonstrable understanding of key accounting principles, including debits/credits, deferrals, accruals, depreciation, and compliance standards such as ASC 606.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science.
Experience assisting with critical month/quarter-end close activities, including billing completeness checks and deferred revenue reconciliations.
Familiarity with financial concepts such as FX revaluation, multi-book accounting, and depreciation of contract-linked assets.

You love to identify and execute opportunities to streamline complex financial processes, such as automating invoice generation or optimizing collection workflows.
You’re curious about emerging financial technology and automation that can enhance reporting, accuracy, and compliance (SOX).
You’re an expert in collaborating across technical and financial teams (e.g., Accounting, Revenue Operations) to validate system configurations and ensure data integrity.
