An IT Programme Manager is required for our client based in Manchester. This is a hybrid position, 2-3 days per week on site,therefore please only apply if you can commit to this.
The Senior Programme Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the client's transformation and growth ambitions, ensuring that critical IS and change programmes are delivered effectively.
The Senior Programme Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and delivering complex, multi-faceted programmes that support the organisation's strategic objectives. The postholder will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of key programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget, whilst maintaining a sharp focus on quality, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
This is a key leadership role within the organisation, reporting to the Group CIO, and working collaboratively across all business units, subsidiaries, and the senior management team.
Key accountabilities;
Provide strategic leadership and direction for major IS and change projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with vision and goals.
Establish and maintain project and programme governance framework to ensure robust oversight and accountability
Build and maintain relationships with key partners, customers, suppliers, governmental bodies and critical stakeholders/stakeholder groups.
Communicate and influence at all levels internally on programme direction and decision making
Develop comprehensive programme plans, including timelines, resource allocation, key milestones, deliverables and dependencies.
Lead change impact assessments for all major initiatives, ensuring that potential effects on people, processes, and systems are identified and addressed.
Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within programmes
Manage programme budgets, monitor expenditure, and report on financial performance, ensuring value for money and compliance with financial controls.
Experience required;
Extensive experience in leading and managing complex, high-value programmes within large organisations
Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Highly self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy to achieve tactical outcomes and strategic objectives.
Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives, embedding automation, analytics, and technology-enabled solutions
Proven experience in leading change, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training for successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Significant Experience managing relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Strong track record of delivering programmes to time, cost, and quality standards.
Use of complex financial and risk analysis to evaluate strategic options and opportunities.
A proven track record of leading and developing complex project/programme competences in in cross functional and virtual team environment.
Significant experience with programme management methodologies (eg, MSP, PRINCE2, Agile) and relevant tools.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI)
Strategic thinker with strong organisational acumen
