Job Title - Platform Engineer (SC Cleared)
Contract - Inside IR35
Hybrid - Travel required during initial knowledge transfer
Security Clearance -Must be holding active Security Clearance
We are supporting a large, mission-critical public-sector system and are building a platform engineering team to maintain and evolve a complex Legacy technology environment.
This role suits experienced engineers who are comfortable owning systems, providing L3 support, and mentoring others, rather than greenfield delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain Legacy applications and infrastructure (L3 support)
Deliver changes within a complex Legacy estate
Own systems and services as a technical subject matter expert
Build and support CI/CD pipelines
Maintain documentation and undertake peer reviews
Mentor junior engineers and support team delivery
Stakeholder management, technical decision making, and line management.
Essential Technical Skills
Legacy systems support and modernisation
CI/CD pipelines and automation
Refactoring and automated testing
ETL and data integration
Containerisation and virtualisation
Technologies:
Nginx, Apache HTTP/Tomcat
Oracle 11, RAC, RMAN, Partitioning, PL/SQL
Oracle Solaris 10
