Our client in the Financial services industry is seeking:

Lead DevOps Cloud Engineer

to work in hybrid schedule in their New York, New York offices location.

(please apply if you reside in the New York, New York commutable area)

: in-office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.

Role reports directly to Head of IT Infrastructure;

Seeking a dynamic and hands-on Lead DevOps Cloud Engineer to participate in Cloud and DevOps strategy while leading a team of 2 DevOps Engineers.

Lead DevOps Cloud (AWS) Engineer will contribute to driving IT modernization within cloud infrastructure, deployments, and AI initiatives in modern cloud architecture, automation, & emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

Participate in architecture, design, implementation, and support, while leading a team of 2.
Define and execute firm’s Cloud (AWS) and DevOps strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
Participate in re-engineering legacy applications to cloud-native and serverless architectures.
Work with IT development teams to enable CI/CD standards, deployments, and IaC.
Ensure cloud security, and governance across AWS and new Azure services.
Participate in AI and automation initiatives to optimize operations.
Manage and optimize Cloud FinOps to reduce cloud costs, ensure efficient resource utilization, and provide executive tracking and reporting.
Build and integrate monitoring, alerting, and performance systems for cloud and development regions.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, and DevOps,
Experience in FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY
3 years of supervisory experience.
Expertise with AWS; CI/CD, IaC, CloudFormation and Terraform.
Experience in scripting in MS Windows environment.
Deep understanding of cloud security, compliance, and vulnerability management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s degree

Compensation

$185k base salary range

Bonus / Discretionary: 15-20%
