This position is accountable for the installation, configuration, monitoring, analysis, maintenance, and technical support of the platform.

As a manager, engineering - ServiceNow, you will…

Technical Design and Implementation: Providing technical expertise and executing technical responsibilities on the ServiceNow platform with experience in ITSM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, CMDB, SAM, HAM, Now Assist, FSM, etc. Manages the engineering team through the solution design processes that span projects, enhancements and sustainment activities. Leverages and develops talent on the team through all phases of project efforts, including requirements gathering, assessment and backlog refinement. Shapes and guides systems approach. Manage and partner with technology vendors to deliver against business objectives and meet Starbucks security and architecture standards.
Communication: Requires strong communication skills to deal with the many different stakeholders in a product development program. Understands the work to provide clear priorities and plans to achieve objectives. They liaise with the senior management teams to agree on strategic development objectives and gain budget approval for projects. They coordinate the work of different specialists within the engineering team and ensure team is clear on goals and objective are met.
Leadership: Build and lead a high performing team with open-mindedness, that is visionary and results oriented. Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together.
Manage others – You will set goals for the working team and actively provide partners with coaching, feedback and development opportunities and modeling leadership behavior for the larger team. Understands the work and can provide direction, remove barriers, and provide a clear line of site to achieve results.
Platform Stewardship – Championing ServiceNow efforts to promote platform evolvement and stability to support business needs. Plays a creative role in the platform stewardship portfolio. Understands business objectives and can innovate with quick to market features and capabilities. Focus on ensuring the engineering team has the vision, roadmap, and platform investment needed to take our business solutions to the next level.

We’d love to Hear From People With

8-10 years of professional industry experience with software development and operations.
5+ years of leading engineering teams and managing projects through development, projects of all sizes and complexities and 24x7 operational support.
3-5 years of leading or managing engineering teams with experience on the ServiceNow platform.
Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills .
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Leadership in the utilization of user-centric design concepts in conjunction with agile prototyping, development and testing to deploy highly engaging and scalable technology solutions to the end user.
Working knowledge of Agile SCRUM solution design/development methodology practices.
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with and present ideas to senior leadership. Provides key input to facilitate decision-making process.
